For example: driveway walls, knee walls, retaining walls, cavity walls (clad a dwelling), custom barbecues and outdoor kitchens, fire pits, chimneys, and pretty much anything your mind can think up!
  • Repoint Mortar Joints: We can repair, restore, or replace existing mortar joints and due to the weather in our lovely part of the  country, we see and repair a lot of mortar joints in  both interior and exterior brickwork, block work, and stone work. Have a unique mortar that is a custom color, includes inclusions (seashells, black slag, lime clasts, etc.) fret not, unlike the other companies that will leave you with repairs that stick out worse than the damaged mortar joints, we have become experts at creating, and hence matching, custom blended mortars for our exclusive clients and their visions, requirements, and/or specifications!
  • Cleaning and Sealing: Has your brick, block, or natural stone seen better days? Let us give it new life and restore its beauty while ensuring no damage is done in the process! We can clean them regardless how or why they are in need of a good cleaning! After cleaning old masonry structures is a great time to give them a proper, breathable, and completely invisible sealing. Sealing will ensure they remain cleaner longer, and will help to ensure they last the test of time! Other times that are great for sealing would be thirty or more days (but, less than 3 months) after their installation or repair!

Concrete

  • Repair: We can quite literally repair almost all damage to concrete regardless of the extent of damage (cracks, heaving, crumbling, missing pieces, spalling, etc.
  • Poured Slabs, Pads, Floors, Monolithic Foundations, and Custom Forms: We can  form pretty much anything you desire to be made of concrete (steps, walkways, pool surrounds, footers, driveways, columns, pillars, etc.)
  • Resurfacing: After concrete repairs, concrete resurfacing is our second most requested concrete service; and, often these two services go hand in hand to create an amazing transformation from broken, damaged, spalled, unsound concrete into newly structurally sound concrete with an amazing top coat providing old concrete with a "brand new" concrete look!!! And, just like everything else that we do, we took concrete resurfacing to another level! The formula for this new level of perfection lies in the process, the preparation, and mostly, the hydraulic cement based rapid-setting commercial grade resurfacing agent. Which quite literally will leave you speechless after it is complete! The finished product looks better than most brand new concrete! We can do this to driveways, walkways, floors, pads, slabs and even, steps! Pretty much any flat-work! Also, the process requires minimal downtime, and return to service within the very same day!
  • Concrete Cleaning and/or Sealing: Need years of buildup erased from your concrete surface that lies hidden somewhere underneath all that dirt, grim, oil, mold, etc.? We can handle that for you with no problem and ensure that no damage is done to the concrete itself! Also, after being cleaned concrete loves a great sealer! We can handle that for you as well!
  • Concrete Demolition and Removal: Old concrete need to go, but your not aware, not capable, or not wanting to do it? Concrete is hard by its nature, often includes steel reinforcement, and depending on the strength and thickness of the concrete breaking up and removing it could be a major undertaking! Let us take care of getting it broken up for you, and when we are done will make sure we take it with us, leaving no evidence of it ever existing on your property! Whether its a thin and weak concrete with zero reinforcement or a high strength mix with  multiple 1/2inch steel rebar running through it, and 12 inches thick; we have the tools/equipment, strength, experience, and determination to get it done, and done right. WE WILL BEAT ANY OFFICIAL QUOTE FOR ANY* CONCRETE/MASONRY DEMOLITION FROM A LOCAL, REGISTERED, AND INSURED COMPANY! (*We don't do full buildings except for small sheds, detached garages, etc, residential only)

Hands down, without a doubt, our absolute and all time favorite service to perform! We take so much pride in this service and actual joy from being able to quite literally preserve and extend the life of something created so long ago and by one of our predecessors in the trade! History is one of our fascinations, what part of history you ask, well, all of it to be honest! Especially, the historic masonry structures to be specific, after researching  and developing a robust and deep knowledge on the subject which quite frankly is so rare, so misunderstood, so often ruined and destroyed by a lack of education in the topic, and couple that with the simple fact that not one living person has been alive for quite some time that has first hand knowledge of the methods, techniques, and engineering aspects/material science of traditional lime based mortars, stucco/plasters, and early concrete mixes, you can understand why no one, including the modern day mason's who do not quite literally seek out and personally research the subject have not a clue about any aspect of this very delicate, unique, and far superior building material.  Thus. it should go without being said, we are the only residential masonry contractor that offers this service in a very large radius (which seeing as to how we travel 8 hours every time we need to purchase the materials for one of these projects, you can understand  the lack of desire to offer this important, yet very specialized and difficult to deliver service!

Privacy Fencing

  • Installation of Wood Privacy Fencing (Pickets or Panels)
  • Demolition and Removal of Existing Privacy Fencing
  • Custom Built and Designed Fence Gates
  • Custom Designed Wood Fences

Yes, you read the description correctly… And, no, we aren’t referring to masonry privacy fencing, although it does exist, and if that is what you desire, we would love to make it happen for you… But, the privacy fencing we offer is typically of the wood variety, and we do not offer any services regarding vinyl or pvc, the only services we offer with chain link or any other metal fencing is removal and disposal. We can imagine your confusion and curiosity after reading through several categories and service descriptions, all of which involved masonry in some way, and then out of nowhere, like a ninja slapping you in the side of the head, BAM, a service offering installation of something made of Wood!?!? Let me explain, our first and second year in business, was amazingly successful and we were busy almost the entire two years! And, strangely enough while working on these projects, the same question kept being asked, “Do you know anyone who installs privacy fencing?” After sending two of our clients business to other contractors, who ended up disappointing our clients in one way or another, we decided we either had to tell the clients that we didn’t know anyone who installed them, or learn how to install them ourselves, and without delay learn how to install them not only correctly and efficiently, but in a way that set us apart from anyone else installing privacy fencing. The first install we got hosed in the profit department, but we delivered a fence with two different sized, self closing, non-sag, custom built gates, and covered a sprawling 250 linear feet of ground with fence posts and fence panels! Our client was so impressed, and felt so bad for us after witnessing the trouble we were having with digging the posts to a depth of around 40”, through an unknown to our client, or us obviously, a filled in irrigation ditch that she personally purchased us a gas powered auger! (*The neighbor noticed our plight as well, and he turned out to be a fellow mason! And, that client would consequently hire us on five occasions after that fence was installed, while the mason neighbor became somewhat of a mentor to us as we got to experience the new pains of entrepreneurship as a Masonry Contractor! LOL So, even though we broke our backs to pretty much break even financially, we still feel we won on that deal!)  After that installation, we installed one vinyl privacy fence, and that one was enough for a lifetime, which is precisely the reason we will not under any circumstance install them, repair them, or even look at them (okay, the last part isn’t true, but the first two statements are!) The following year we installed three more privacy fences, including two custom wood picket fences, next door to each other, and they kept upgrading and adding on upgrades to try to one up their neighbor, which obviously was a little frustrating, pretty hysterical, and quite profitable for us… Also, they both turned out absolutely gorgeous! So, we developed some very unique ways to customize the wood privacy fences we offered, and our clients have loved them thus far, as well as, the custom built,  non-sag, self closing, and fully customizable with a variety of options to upgrade, gates offered in three sizes, including double doors which are composed of any combination of the three sizes we offer! So, although we don’t offer any other wood or fencing related service, and our trade is masonry, by choice, training, and experience; we have developed ways of ensuring the privacy fences we install will never have the issues usually seen in other privacy fences, will look absolutely gorgeous, perfectly straight and level (or, if otherwise required, or desired, not straight and sloped, we can literally make any terrain bow to our fencing! So, if you want a privacy fence installed, you should give us a shot at providing you with a privacy fence of unequaled quality and durability, precise layout, impeccable appearance, and features that no other fencing contractor we know of offers!

COLD WEATHER Masonry

Any exterior Masonry Service that we provide, or that anyone provides or performs must fall within certain temperature ranges, not be in danger of frost exposure, requires proper protection from precipitation for a specific period of time based upon the individual materials used, and these are pretty much unbreakable rules that must be accommodated for/adhered to to ensure the successful installation of masonry in exterior applications. What that means in our area, is due to the gloriously amazing fall, winter, and early spring weather, which includes periods of extreme cold below acceptable installation minimums, unpredictable fluctuations of hot and cold, the possibility of extremely large amounts or very frequent occasions of precipitation in many varieties from rain to sleet, to snow.... Generally, and for good reason, exterior masonry is off the table from October through march, give or take a month each way or longer some years..... Another wonderful issue that this weather is known for, is the high incidence of freeze thaw cycles, that quite literally ravage masonry structures if not protected, well maintained, and/or installed correctly... or, simply, just getting old, and thus more susceptible to freeze thaw damage, after ears and years of exposure to that very thing!  But, we really don't like rules, regulations, or being told that we CAN'T ..... So, like always, we found a loophole... Well, more accurately a work around, in fact, many work around, which when combined together create an acceptable, and industry approved way to effectively install masonry regardless the temperature or precipitation, or rapid fluctuation in highs and lows...for this to be successful it requires a large amount of extra precautionary measures to be put into place, additional protections during installation, setting, and curing, and, special equipment, admixtures, and precise monitoring devices which must be monitored regularly during the entirety of a cold weather masonry project. This quite obviously increases the cost of installation and repairs done during this cold weather period dramatically, and we won't deny that ever. However, in certain instances, or for extraordinary circumstances or needs, the increased cost pails in comparison to the cost of waiting until the weather changes which could very well take up to four months in extreme instances. So, although it isn't often utilized, it is a service we do provide. Also, for small scale installations and/or repairs, sometimes the increased cost is worth the decreased scheduling concerns, or personal desire!
