Iannone Building and Contracting

A Message to All of Our Clients (Prospective, Current, Past, and Future): We would like to apologize for any lack of, and/or delay in response to client correspondences. We know some prospective, current, past, and/or future clients may have been upset, angered, or discouraged during this period of time. And, we truly apologize to every single person who this has affected negatively. Many circumstances beyond our control affected our ability to adequately perform our administrative, sales related, and customer relations tasks while simultaneously keeping our contractual agreements with our current clients. In simpler words, we had to choose between spending our time at the office on the phone and in our inbox, or performing physical labor at a jobsite. We decided that to best serve all of our clients in the long term, we had to temporarily concentrate only on our current clients in the short term. We are almost finished fulfilling our contractual agreements with our current clients and providing them with the exceptional service and superior quality finished product ALL of our clients deserve. After their completion, we will begin to fulfill any remaining, outstanding, or additional work orders attached to previously completed projects while slowly starting to make our way through our backlog of missed calls, text messages, emails, website submissions, etc. And, only once we have returned every missed call, text back every unanswered text message, replied to the dozens of emails in our inbox, and apologetically reached out to anyone who submitted a contact form or a website submission will we once again return to our normal business operations and resume normal communications procedures.  Additionally, going forward, we will work even harder to avoid any similar situations from occurring in the future! We believe wholeheartedly in being open, honest, and completely transparent with our clients about all business matters; whether it be during times of prosperity and success,  or during situations, like the current one, where we have fallen short in achieving the high standards we put forth and hold for ourselves and our business.

REMINDER: We charge a FLAT FEE for all "Quotes" (Estimates) requested/scheduled by "New" (prospective/potential) clients. "Existing" (past or current) clients are exempt from this fee. "New" (prospective/potential) clients referred by an "Existing" (past or current) client are also exempt.

And

We are currently preparing for a certification exam that will make us one of only a few contractors nationwide, certified in diagnosing and repairing foundation and foundation wall issues. And, although this certification is not required to perform repairs to foundations, we will have a unique and current knowledge of the best practices in this service category! Wouldn't you want to entrust something as significant as your home's foundation with a contractor properly and currently educated in this important type of work?

Historic Masonry Repair,
Restoration, and
Preservation!

Any experienced mason and some skilled contractors can repair a historic masonry structure. However, without proper education, training, and experience in this very unique and highly specialized trade. So, hiring just "any" mason or contractor can very well result in damage to the structure in part or as a whole. Even worse, sometimes the damage is irreversible and/or catastrophic!  Another issue, although less dangerous, but, still discerning, is the extreme difficulty finding and obtaining the proper materials required to complete this type of work in the safest, most effective, and period friendly way. In fact, the materials are so scarce, the products required can not be obtain locally; and, because they are extremely bulky and heavy, shipping costs make this type of repair out of the reach of most people's financial ability. We have seen the ramifications of this problem for years: historic masonry structures (beautiful brick, elegant granite and marble, rugged stone, impressive and intricate decorative plaster and stucco overlays, veneers, and renderings, etc) falling apart piece by piece, literally crumbling and disappearing before our eyes! The results of this are becoming eyesores; and, if they haven't already, many, stand in danger of becoming a safety issue and liability. Due to this horrible situation, we reached out beyond the local level, out of the county, and eventually out of the state. Luckily, we found an out of state company with the ability to test any mortar or brick sample and provide us with either a detailed recipe to create an hand mixed batch of the exact same mortar used when then structure was originally constructed. Or, they can provide us a custom blended mortar that they mix and package for our use. Whether we use their recipe and blend/mix it ourselves or we use their prepackaged custom blended mortar, both mortars will not only match the color, consistency, and composition of any mortar joint, but they will ensure the mortar will be compatible with the structure as well. Additionally,  we have negotiated with this company, resulting in our ability to pick up their specialty historic masonry restoration/preservation products directly! And, although we have to drive for almost a full day, we avoid the extremely expensive and timely wait of having these materials delivered; thus, making the possibility of restoring/preserving your historic masonry a reality (and, in a period appropriate, safe, compatible, and approved manner)!  We truly hope our community takes advantage of this opportunity! Together we can preserve the stability, safety, and beauty of our historic brick structures!
